iciHaiti - Insecurity : DINEPA launches an SOS

Guito Edouard, Director General of the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) informs that there is a problem of drinking water distribution throughout the country and in the Metropolitan Region of Port-au-Prince in particular.

He explains "The valve operator, technicians and other key employees of DINEPA are unable to leave their homes to transport diesel fuel and/or to operate the various pumping stations from the generators installed at the level of the 25 sites of the Metropolitan Region. These are sensitive installations requiring sustained monitoring."

Edouard launches an SOS to the authorities concerned so that special humanitarian corridors are put in place to allow the passage of staff or employees of DINEPA in complete safety.
