Sabine Désir, Director of the organization of Miss Haiti, affirms that Miss Haiti has not lost her franchise contrary to the unfounded rumors which circulate "We intend to launch the registrations at the latest at the end of May so that the main interested parties can register. To finally officially start with the competition between the end of July and the beginning of August."

Sabine Désir announces new things this year "[...] we will also ensure that Haitian women who are interested and settled anywhere in the world will not be obliged to travel to Haiti, under current conditions, in order to to take part in the competition. In fact, we hope that the public will be very understanding and will take part in the votes when the time comes to choose the finalists."

The public will not choose Miss Haiti but the 5 finalists. The last word will go to the members of the jury summarizes Sabine Désir.
