On Thursday, October 29, 2026, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé received the credentials of Pascal Bornoz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Haiti, at the Villa d’Accueil.

Following the ceremony, the Head of Government held discussions with the diplomat regarding the strengthening of bilateral cooperation and the electoral process in Haiti. He reaffirmed his government’s determination to establish the necessary conditions for holding upcoming elections, in accordance with the timeline set by the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

This meeting reflects the commitment of both countries to maintaining a constructive dialogue and consolidating their ties of friendship and cooperation. The ceremony concluded with an exchange of gifts, symbolizing the mutual respect between the two Mations.
