iciHaiti - Justice : Five members of a Haitian gang arrested in the Dominican Republic
After the recent arrest of a member of the "5 seconds" gang in Santo Domingo, https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-39507-icihaiti-justice-a-member-of-the-5-seconds-gang-arrested-in-the-dr-and-handed-over-to-polifront.html , agents of the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) arrested in the community of Los Arroyos in Mina Larimar (Barahona Province) 5 members linked to a gang in Haiti, identified only as Yosel, Disón, Usnel, Huonel and Ernest. At the time of their arrest, they were in an irregular migration situation and had no Haitian identity papers.

According to the Haitian authorities, these individuals were actively sought for, among other things : murder, aggravated robbery, armed robbery and criminal association.

These individuals were handed over to the migration authorities at the coordinated border management base at the MalPasse border point, in Jimani, and taken care of by members of the Haitian border police (PoliFRONT), led by its inspector Exume Jean Wilkens, for the corresponding purposes.

Venancio Alcántara, the Director General of the DGM reiterated that they will be relentless against Haitian criminals and any other nationality who intend to use the Dominican Republic to escape justice in their respective countries.
