Agents of the Criminal Affairs Bureau (Property Crime Service) arrested Dadou NICOLAS and Me James LAURENT (Lawyer from the Mirebalais Bar), for their alleged involvement in the issuance of false American visas, association of criminals and fraud, to the respective harm of the American State and two Haitian citizens.

After their hearing in the presence of their respective lawyers, they were placed in police custody at the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) pending legal proceedings.
