The Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) continues to provide essential support to people displaced by urban violence in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince. Until October 7 (latest figures available) 282,227 hot meals were distributed thanks to funding from the Public Treasury, including 42,227 meals offered by Taiwan (Republic of China.

Let's remember that the Taiwanese contribution is part of the cooperation agreement signed at the beginning of the year between Taiwan and the Government.

It is thanks to the initiative of the Director General, Paul Harry Voltaire, that the FAES anti-poverty department has continued to intensify its efforts to provide crucial relief to internally displaced persons in the metropolitan area.
