iciHaiti - Gold-cup W 2024 : The point, D-7, the final, Draw…
While we await the imminent publication of the convening for the last match of our Grenadières against the "Ticas" of Costa Rica on November 30, 2023, in league A counting for the qualifiers for the Gold Cup of 2024, a match at the end of which our Grenadières hope to qualify directly for the final phase of the competition, we learned from Concacaf that the final will take place on the lawn of the 35,000-seat "Snapdragon Stadium' in San Diego (California).

Furthermore, Monday December 11, 2023, Concacaf will make the draw for the first edition of the "Concacaf W Gold Cup". The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will be widely available for fans across the region to follow and enjoy via Confederation's partner television networks, including CBS/Paramount+ (U.S.- English) and ESPN (Mexico, Central America, Caribbean and South America). Fans can also follow live updates on Concacaf's social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram and X.

The draw will be conducted using a single-blind system involving four pots. Based on the Concacaf women's national team rankings as of December 2023 and the results of the 2022 CONMEBOL Women's Copa America, the 12 teams participating in the group stage will be divided into four pots as follows:

Pot 1: Two top-ranked Concacaf teams and the winner of the 2022 Women's Copa America
Pot 2: Three top-ranked Concacaf teams
Pot 3: Second, third and fourth places in the 2022 CONMEBOL Women's Copa America
Pot 4: Three teams who will qualify for the group stage in the Concacaf W Gold Cup qualifiers.

In accordance with the regulations governing the draw, the three teams in Pot 1 will each be pre-classified into a group as follows:

Group A, position A1: United States (highest ranked Concacaf team)
Group B, position B1: Brazil (winner of the CONMEBOL 2022 Women's Copa America)
Group C, position C1: Canada (second highest ranked team in Concacaf).

Let's remember that the Grenadières, led by the Franco-Portuguese Frédéric Gonçalvez, are at the top of group C with 9 points and a comfortable goal difference (+25) following their three victories in as many matches; they are one point away from direct qualification for this first edition of the competition which will take place from February 17 to March 10, 2024 in the United States with the participation of eight member associations of Concacaf and four guests of Conmebol.

So far, the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Paraguay have qualified for the group stage and El Salvador through the preliminaries. The remaining eight Concacaf participants will be confirmed in the first week of December with the conclusion of the Road to Concacaf W Gold Cup 2023.
