"My dear compatriots

The year 2023, the scene of many painful events and concerns of all kinds, has come to an end.

For all of us, it was marked by desolation, violence, insecurity, the terror of armed gangs, kidnapping, serial rapes and assassinations, and the accelerated deterioration of the material conditions of existence of our fellow citizens.

However, despite our delays and the tearing of the social fabric, the Haitian people, with their inexhaustible courage and resilience, have continued to believe in the dream of happiness as it was proclaimed by the 1987 Constitution, our mother law.

This situation challenges us and commands us, in line with our firm fight and unwavering commitment, to work towards making this legitimate aspiration a reality materialized by the end of this violence, the reduction of social and economic inequalities and this political instability which maintain this endemic poverty and ruin any approach to a better tomorrow in our country.

In my capacity as a responsible citizen, committed and aware of the harsh reality of my country, I express to all of you my dear compatriots from here and elsewhere, wishes for a transformed Haiti where democracy, stability, solidarity , prosperity and competitiveness be the motive of all our actions and decisions.

I would be remiss if I did not wish you, on this occasion, my dear compatriots, my best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024, more lenient and full of fairness, health, love and patriotism. and a healthy and acceptable lifestyle for all!

May the tutelary gods of the Nation wish on each of us and on Haiti as a whole!
