16 people from the same family were found dead in the village of Seguin, located at an altitude of 1,689 meters, which lives away from the world in the heart of the La Visite national park about 48 km south of Port-au-Prince declared Monday February 19 a local official,

The exact cause of the deaths is not yet known, but local witnesses said it could have been a case of poisoning. The day before this family had attended a funeral.

According to delegate Jude Pierre Michel Lafontant, senior official of the South-East department, the police and health services were deployed on site to investigate.
