As part of the activities related to International Labor Day, Jean Gardy Marius, Consul General of Haiti in Santiago at the head of a delegation composed of members of the Consulate team, traveled to Puerto Plata to share this special moment with Haitians in need who live in this region.

A whole delegation traveled to Puerto Plata to share this special moment with the Haitians who live in this region and work in bateyes and agriculture.

This was an opportunity for Consul Jean Gardy Marius and his team to honor many courageous women and men by presenting them with a plaque of honor and merit for their efforts to maintain their dignity in the Dominican Republic.

On the other hand, the Consul also took the opportunity to address the community, shedding more light on the difficulties that cause passport delays.

The Consulate General of Haiti in Santiago thanked the community of Puerto Plata and assured them that the consulate will continue to work to be closer and reach out as much as it can while making efforts to respond to the urgent needs of the great number.
