Thursday June 13, 2024, the new Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications, Engineer Raphael Hosty, was installed this week in his position

In his speech for the occasion, Raphael Hosty said he recognized the precariousness of the current situation, emphasizing in particular the critical state of road infrastructure in the city center of Port-au-Prince and in the metropolitan region in general.

He promises to work in perfect synergy with all the country's key forces in order to meet the expectations of the population.

Previously, Raphaël Hosty worked in the hydraulic sector, notably as a technical specialist engineer in Operation and Management of drinking water and sanitation networks at the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA), a position he has held since July 2023. Raphaël As an engineer, Hosty has nearly 40 years of experience. He also worked in the construction of several infrastructures including those of National Schools in Grand Boucan, Boucan Carré and Roy Sec and the construction of the Montessori school in Freycinau in Saint-Marc

It specializes in the study, execution and management of drinking water networks. he obtained his engineering degree from the Faculty of Sciences of the State University of Haiti (UEH) in 1980.
