Tuesday July 2ns, 2024, during an installation ceremony chaired by the Ambassador of Haiti to Canada, Weibert Arthu, Mrs. Guerline Frédéric was installed as Acting Head of Post of the Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal. She replaces Sabine Jean-Joseph in this position who expressed her satisfaction by handing over the reins with a light heart and a feeling of duty accomplished, thanking her colleagues for their collaboration for more than a year spent at the head of the consulate.

For his part, Ambassador Weibert Arthus congratulated Madame Sabine Jean Joseph for her exemplary career in diplomacy and her management during her interim as head of post. He sent his congratulations to Guerline Frédéric for her professionalism and her frank collaboration with her former colleagues at the Embassy while wishing her success in her new role.

In her speech, Guerline Frédéric welcomed the new dynamic driven by Chancellor Dominique Dupuy, in particular the establishment of a policy of positive discrimination in favor of women.

She said she was aware of the challenges awaiting her, including the processing of requests for services from compatriots at the Consulate and enjoined the staff to frank collaboration and team spirit to better serve the different Haitian communities in Canada and particularly those in Quebec.

Guerline Frédéric, throughout her professional career, has always focused on rigor and professionalism to accomplish her tasks. Holder of a degree in psychology, she places human relationships at the center of her actions. Before her appointment as Acting Head of Post of the Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal, Mrs. Guerline Frédéric held the position of Advisor and head of administrative affairs at the Embassy of Haiti in Ottawa since October 2020.
