The Health Promotion and Environmental Protection Department of the Ministry of Public Health, through its Director, Dr. Francisco Noël, has just completed a decisive tour in the North and North-East departments to assess public hygiene services.

This tour made it possible to review the operating mode of these structures, their strengths and weaknesses, as well as the elements they need to improve their operating and management system.

These visits will be followed, among other things, by a major distribution: motorcycles, office materials and equipment, hygiene kits, materials and equipment to strengthen waste management at the level of departmental and community reference hospitals. All this will be done according to the needs identified throughout the North region of the country.

Dr. Francisco Noël took the opportunity to supervise a training activity on the management of community activities for the benefit of Team Leader nurses and multi-skilled nursing assistants of the family health teams of these two departments. Words of congratulations were addressed to the trainers while encouraging them to continue the good work that they are doing as well as the trainers of the other departments in this process of progressive improvement of the health status of the population.
