Mr. Yvon Sévère, President of the Organizing Committee for the 2025 D1 National Special Championship, regrets to inform you that the opening day of the championship has been postponed due to the unavailability of referees, the latter having refused to officiate the scheduled matches.

It is important to note that the National Referees Commission (CONA) had previously communicated to the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) the list of referees designated to officiate the matches, and travel expenses had already been paid into their accounts. However, on the eve of the start of the championship, it informed the FHF, through official correspondence, that these referees would ultimately be unavailable.

This last-minute decision, made despite the FHF's efforts to ensure rigorous planning and transparent refereeing management, places the organizers, clubs, and all stakeholders in the national football system in a regrettable situation.

The FHF deeply regrets the inconvenience caused by this late announcement and will shortly communicate new guidelines regarding the continuation of the championship.
