Already ranked 50th in the previous FIFA rankings, our Grenadières have moved up one place and now occupy 49th place in the world rankings published Thursday, August 7, 2025.

This symbolic but significant progression demonstrates the Grenadières' consistency at the highest level. Joining the Top 50 represents an encouraging milestone, but also a call for responsibility : we must now target higher, with ambition and determination, emphasizes the Haitian Football Federation (FHF).

This advancement comes as Concacaf has just announced the draw (August 20) for the 2025/2026 Concacaf Women's World Cup qualifiers. The Grenadières' ranking will play a key role in determining the seeding pots. As a reminder, these qualifiers will bring together 30 countries, grouped into six groups starting in October 2025. The final of this championship will take place in November 2026 with the participation of eight nations, serving as a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.

Furthermore, Melchie Daëlle Dumornay, aka "Corventina" has been selected among the 30 contenders for the prestigious 2025 Women's Ballon d'Or (Golden Ball). This is a first for Haitian football in any category.

Trained at Camp Nou, the Haitian Football Federation's academy, Melchie embodies resilience and hope. Her exceptional performance (16 goals and 7 assists in 19 league matches) is a reminder that, despite the challenges our country faces, including the loss of the FIFA Goal center, which housed this academy and is now occupied by armed groups in Croix-des-Bouquets...
