iciHaiti - Health : Health insurance policy for brigadiers and volunteers
During the 23rd session of the "Tuesdays of the Nation" Emmanuel Pierre, Director General of Civil Protection (DGPC), and Vikerson Garniers, Director General of the Office of Work Accident, Sickness, and Maternity Insurance (OFATMA), officially signed a health insurance policy for the benefit of patrol officers and volunteers of the National Risk Management System.

Pierre praised the merits of this Family Emergency Plan, which will provide patrol officers and their loved ones with medical coverage in the event of workplace accidents, illness, and maternity. He noted that the DGPC is also working to strengthen the logistics of the Departmental Emergency Operations Centers in the Grand Sud region, as well as five Municipal Centers, now equipped with modern infrastructure and equipment.

In a proactive approach, the DGPC is also focusing on prevention and community mobilization, strengthening its partnerships with local radio stations and community leaders.

For his part, the Director of OFATMA noted that he has already processed more than 12,000 cases relating to hospital debts accumulated between 2018 and April 30, 2025. More than thirty hospitals have entered into a protocol with OFATMA to recover these arrears, which, according to Garniers, will fully restore taxpayers' right to health insurance financed by their contributions.
