Digital technology is now part of everyday life for Haitians, especially young people. However, the knowledge needed to use it responsibly, safely, and critically doesn't always keep pace with this evolution. Disinformation, artificial intelligence, and online risks represent significant challenges today.

In response to this reality, JCI Tabarre Excelsior and its partners—Internet Society Haiti Chapter, JCI Haiti, JCI Pétion-ville Innovation, Centre Muse Haiti, Marche Longue Media, and Vwa Rezo Yo—are launching the Active and Digital Citizenship Fortnight (QCAN26). This initiative brings together experts from various fields to raise awareness and train the public through free activities accessible to all.

For two weeks, the campaign will address five main themes: digital citizenship, fact-checking, responsible use of artificial intelligence, online safety, and civic participation in the digital environment. Webinars, workshops, awareness campaigns, and a closing forum will allow participants to exchange ideas and acquire valuable skills.

QCAN26 invites citizens, youth, teachers, media outlets, civil society organizations, public institutions, and content creators to participate in this mobilization. Together, we can help build a safer, more responsible, and more inclusive digital space in Haiti.
