iciHaiti - Jobs : Training of 300 young trainees from the PIJE Program

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), which is continuing the implementation of the Youth Employment Initiation Program (PIJE), organized two days of training on December 22 and 23, 2025, at the Montana Hotel for 300 young people from the program's second cohort.

These training sessions were led by Ministry officials and allowed participants to familiarize themselves with a number of topics necessary for their successful integration into host organizations, in particular, and into professional life, in general.

The main training modules covered : the organization and structures of the State, the functioning of the Haitian public administration and its regulatory framework in light of the decree of May 17, 2005, the efficiency of the civil service and the role of oversight institutions, ethics and codes of conduct in the Haitian public service, the organization and management of relations between actors, and the acquisition of knowledge to its application, including the transition from university to the world of work.

As a reminder, the PIJE was relaunched by Circular #008 of March 28, 2025, issued by Prime Minister Fils Aimé Césaire. It targets recent graduates from universities and vocational schools (public and private) throughout the country, offering them the opportunity to complete short-term (3-month) internships, paid by the Public Treasury, in public or private institutions where they will be progressively deployed.
