The training activities organized as part of the refresher workshop for firefighters and brigadiers in the North department continued over the past two days with several practical sessions dedicated to emergency intervention and rescue techniques.

Participants received training on various modules related to rescue operations and the management of high-risk situations, including the use of rescue and clearing equipment, techniques for intervention on dangerous slopes, and high-angle rescue using the hinge method.

Practical exercises focusing on first aid techniques and the means of transport used during emergency interventions were also conducted to strengthen the operational capabilities of the brigadiers and firefighters deployed in the various municipalities of the department.

Through this initiative, conducted within the framework of the PHÉNIX project, the General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC), with the support of Expertise France and funding from the French Development Agency, is continuing its efforts to improve the preparedness, coordination, and effectiveness of emergency response teams for the benefit of communities.
