As part of his tour to assess the country's military structures, Mario Andrésol, the Minister of Defense, visited the Engineering Corps of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H), located at the Bicentenaire.

He was welcomed by Major Myrlange Sinvil, Commander of this specialized unit tasked with providing technical support to operational forces during conflicts and contributing to community resilience in peacetime.

Major Sinvil briefed the Minister on the Engineering Corps' ongoing activities, achievements, and the main challenges the unit faces in carrying out its missions.

This visit, part of a diagnostic process for strategic planning purposes, allowed for the collection of concerns from military personnel and an assessment of the base's priority needs for modernization and strengthening its operational capabilities.

After touring the base's main facilities, the Minister met with the unit's officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers. In an atmosphere characterized by attentive listening and constructive dialogue, members of the Engineering Corps expressed their concerns and formulated recommendations regarding their working conditions and the base's operations.
