PNH Jacmel : Cleanup Day and Visit to the Firefighters
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, as part of the preparatory activities marking the 31st anniversary of the Haitian National Police (PNH), the Southeast Departmental Directorate, with the support of the Scouts of Haiti, organized a large-scale cleanup day in several streets of Jacmel.
This initiative, aimed at strengthening ties between the police and the community, resulted in the removal of litter from several of the city's main thoroughfares. The cleanup operations took place on Avenue de la Liberté, Street Seymond Pradel, Street Sainte-Anne, Street Isaac Pardo, and Avenue Barranquilla.
In addition, the Southeast Departmental Director, Divisional Commissioner Appolos Villette, conducted an inspection visit to the Jacmel Fire Department headquarters, located on the Lamandou road. This approach allowed him to assess the operational conditions of this structure and to gather the concerns expressed by staff members.
