On Friday, September 4th, 2026, the Jean Price-Mars Diplomatic Academy of the Haitian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic and Consular Academy of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize and strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.

The ceremony took place on the sidelines of an event dedicated to promoting diplomacy, organized by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Quai d’Orsay), with the participation of the Haitian Embassy.

On behalf of France, the MoU was signed by Ambassador Didier Le Bret, Director of the Diplomatic and Consular Academy, and on behalf of the Republic of Haiti, by Ambassador Louino Volcy.

Through this MoU, the Diplomatic and Consular Academy of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs establishes a formal framework for developing exchanges and cooperative activities with the Jean Price-Mars Diplomatic Academy.

Among other things, it will allow the two academies to promote the training of young diplomats and professionals from both countries, share experiences and expertise on topics of common interest, jointly organize courses and seminars held alternately in Port-au-Prince and Paris, and exchange information on their respective study programs and other academic activities.
