On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé received Ms. Maria Valesco, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden, at the formal ceremony for the presentation of her credentials.

This audience provided an opportunity to reaffirm the strength of the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Haiti and the Kingdom of Sweden, as well as their shared commitment to further strengthening political dialogue and partnership between the two countries.

The Prime Minister commended the Kingdom of Sweden's unwavering commitment to Haiti and expressed his hope that the new Ambassador's mission would contribute to deepening cooperation based on mutual respect, solidarity, and the pursuit of common interests.
