New responsible for the security of the Head of State
Pierre Léon Saint-Rémy Junior, was appointed new coordinator of the Presidential Security Unit (PSU) in charge of the security of President Martelly. He replaces to this position Carel Alexandre. Saint-Rémy Junior, is a parent of the First Lady Sophia Martelly, Saint-Rémy. No official reason was given about the reason of this replacement. Some sources suggest that this change would be the result of pressure from the international community who wanted that the resident Martelly gets rid of some people around him, identified as little frequentable...

Mario Andrésol, head of the PNH refuses to resign
Mario Andrésol the Chief of the Haitian Police (PNH) recognized Wednesday that Michel Brunache, the Minister of Justice had suggested him to resign from his position. "The minister asked me to choose an honorable exit based on the fact that I had not executed the order to evict the former military of buildings they occupy [...] It is inconceivable, it is no question that I resign. I have a mandate and I will leave at the end of my mandate"

Guy Philippe call the authorities not to use force against the former military
Guy Philippe, who claims to be from the former Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H), calls on the authorities not to use force against the former military that occupies the former military base and government buildings. He believes that some of these places are their own, given that they was former military camps and barracks.

The opening of the exhibition "Prémices / Open-Ended" will take place this Thursday, March 29 from 5:00 p.m. to the "Montréal, Arts Interculturels" (May) at 3680 Jeanne Mance in Montreal. The exhibition will runs until May 5, 2012. Born in Port-au-Prince (Haiti) in 1986, Manuel Mathieu lives and works in Montreal. Going against the narrative painting and Haitian naive art, Manuel Mathieu paints rather his "tales of the strange, his characters an his deconstructed body." The artist invites us to reflect on the limits of the body. A body imaged, nightmared, monstrous and spontaneous. Free admission.
