5 mobile kitchens

The new Dominican President, Danilo Medina, asked Ramon (Monchy) Rodriguez, Director of Restaurants Economic, to install five mobile kitchens in Haiti [total capacity of 7,500 meals per day] to provide hot meals to families affected by Isaac. These mobile kitchens, have been received by the First Lady of Haiti Sophia Martelly, who thanked on behalf of the Government and people of Haiti, the Dominican President for this humanitarian gesture.

Postponement of the hearing of the new Chief of Police

The hearing before the Commission Justice and Security of the Senate, of Godson Aurélus, the new acting Chief of the National Police, originally scheduled for Monday has been postponed to tomorrow Wednesday to allow to the various Senators to examine the record, has informed the Senator Francky Exius President of the Commission, for which the file of Godson Orelu is in conformity.

Packaging and identification of products

The Ministries of Trade and Public Health, in a joint resolution, remind to the importers, manufacturers and distributors of food and pharmaceutical products that it is imperative to respect strictly the standards. Products must be packed in hygienic conditions and have the following information on them : Product Name - A list of all ingredients in descending order of importance - Specification of net weight content in the international metric system - Name and business address of the manufacturer, of packer or of distributor, date of manufacture and expiry and the lot number, in one of the official languages ​​of the country. They have until 1st January 2013 to comply with this standard.
