Inauguration of schools to Saut-du-Baril and Anse-à-Veau

Yesterday in Anse-à-Veau Fund, the Fund of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES) has inaugurated with the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly and the World Bank the new premises of the National School Saut-du-Baril and the National School Mixed of Anse-à-Veau ; in Lhaumond the FAES inaugurated with the President Martelly and the Mexican Ambassador Luis Manuel Moreno, the first Communal market of Lhaumond.

Cultural and artistic education in the school system

Thursday Jean Mario Dupuy, Minister of Culture with representatives of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, officially launched at the Ritz Kinam II, the project "Cultural and artistic education in the school system and extracurricular Haitian" The launch of this project whose goal is to educate children and young Haitians to make of theme of citizens creators and consumers of art and culture is a contribution of the Ministry of Culture in the construction of the Haitian of tomorrow. The Ministry has 500 million gourdes to start the project and hopes that three million students will benefit from these activities through the schools of the country. The Minister stated that the basic artistic disciplines such as drawing, painting, music theory, should be taught in schools.

The best photos of the Carnival of Flowers

The jury of the contest "The best photos of the Carnival of Flowers" deliberated and selected the two winners of the contest and the photos to be included in the book of Carnival of flowers. The contest results will be announced on Tuesday, 18 September 2012, at 11:00 am in the premises of Ministry, by Mario Dupuy, Minister of Culture, in the presence of the jury and photographers who submitted photos for the contest.
