Members of the Senate in Bicameral Commission

According to the Senator Desras, President of the Senate, the upper house has chosen its 4 members to sit on the Bicameral Commission, responsible for choosing the 3 representatives which must served on the "College Transitional of Permanent Electoral Council" (CTCEP), they are the senators : Jean William Jeanty, François Lucas St-vil, Jocelerme Priverta and Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé. The Lower House should appoint, this Thursday its 4 members for this Commission.

10 Haitian students in master's degree at Laval University

This Thursday, January 24, the Directorate of the University of Laval will wish a warm welcome to the 10 scholarship students, enrolled in the session that starts, came to Quebec, to complete their thesis. An evening pmreception will be held from 5pm to in the atrium Jean-Guy Paquet of pavilion Alphonse-Desjardins. Drinks and a Haitian buffet will be served. 39 Haitian repatriated from Dominican Republic

According to Dominican authorities, 39 Haitian [24 men, 14 women and 1 child] undocumented, were arrested early this week in the community of Mangá, in the municipality of Guayubín in Dominican Republic and returned to Haiti. The driver of the vehicle illegally transporting our compatriots was also handed over to the Dominican justice.

Inauguration in Kenscoff

This Thursday, the WINNER project, funded by the U.S. government proceeded to the inauguration of the Rural Sustainable Development of Centre of Kenscoff (CRDD). This is a demonstration center and of training to modernize the Haitian agriculture by introducing improved varieties, better equipment and improved techniques. Before the ceremony, the Ambassador of the United States, Pamela White, visited the greenhouses of the Association of Producers of Cut Flowers of Kenscoff (AFCK) to Furcy.

CONALD campaign in schools

On Tuesday, the National Commission for the Fight against Drugs (CONALD) launched its campaign against the harmful effects of drugs, through schools in the capital. According to the coordinator of the Conald, David Bazile, this campaign began on Monday at the Lycée Toussaint and will continue until the end of the school year.
