Sunday, January 19, Josette Darguste, the Acting Minister of Culture, together with the Mayor of Gonaives, Steevens St-Fleur, the Departmental Director of Artibonite, the Divisional Commissioner Mathurin, proceeded to the launching of pre-carnival celebrations in Gonaives, official location of carnival to be held on March 2-3-4. Obtaining temporary residence in Suriname... The Head of Mission of the Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti, Alex Jospitre, and his Staff assisting the 1st group of undocumented Compatriots registering for temporary residence at a branch of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Suriname. The Consulate presents its heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Worship (MAEC), the National Archives of Haiti as well as to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice of the Republic of Suriname for their great and prompt support. Launching of the 8th Edition of the Festival de Jazz de Port-au-Prince Saturday, under the public-private partnership with the Jazz Foundation Haiti, Josette Darguste, the Acting Minister of Culture launched the 8th edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Port-au-Prince.
