Sunday, January 19, Josette Darguste, the Acting Minister of Culture, together with the Mayor of Gonaives, Steevens St-Fleur, the Departmental Director of Artibonite, the Divisional Commissioner Mathurin, proceeded to the launching of pre-carnival celebrations in Gonaives, official location of carnival to be held on March 2-3-4.

Launching of the 8th Edition of the Festival de Jazz de Port-au-Prince
Saturday, under the public-private partnership with the Jazz Foundation Haiti, Josette Darguste, the Acting Minister of Culture launched the 8th edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Port-au-Prince. Major Exhibition on Haiti
As part of the major exhibition on Haiti, to be held November 18, 2014 at the Grand Palais in Paris, Josette Darguste, the Acting Minister of Culture, along with some members of his cabinet, had a working meeting last week with Mrs. Mireille Jérôme, the Curator and Bruno Asseray, the Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Action of the Embassy of France in Haiti.
