On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in order to strengthen institutional coordination for the country's economic development, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Industrial Development Fund (FDI) of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH).

This MoU aims to establish a trust fund, administered by the FDI, specifically intended to finance women-owned and/or women-led businesses with strong growth potential in strategic sectors targeted by the MCI through its Women's Entrepreneurship Support Program (PAEF).

The amounts allocated per business will range from 300,000 to two million gourdes.

This new ten-year, renewable agreement marks an important step in consolidating public actions to support investment, women's entrepreneurship, and business competitiveness.

Through this initiative, the MCI and the FDI reaffirm their shared commitment to providing structured and sustainable support for productive investment and women's entrepreneurship, essential pillars of inclusive and resilient growth.
