President Martelly will speak at the Howard University
Wednesday, February 5, the eve of his meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama, President Michel Martelly, will speak at 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the "School of Business Auditorium" of the "Howard University" where he talk about the importance of education. Recall that the "Howard University" has a long relationship with Haiti, including students, faculty and alumni. This University was the first to respond to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. MAST meeting at the U.S. Embassy
Last Thursday, an important working meeting was held between Charles Jean Jacques, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour (MAST) accompanied by Marie France Mondésir, Director of Ministry and John Peter Higgens, Head of Economic and Commercial Section and Andrea Arcila, Economic Attaché, both representatives of the American Embassy. Haitian novelist Yanick Lahens received the 25th award of the Association of Caribbean writers of French language (ADELF) for his novel "Guillaume et Nathalie" published in 2013 published by "Sabine Wespeiser Éditeur".
