New weapons for PNH

New weapons were received and distributed to the National Police of Haiti (in accordance with requirements of the Constitution) in order to consolidate security environment and allow our police officers to deal with bandits often better armed. These are 15,000 Taurus pistols, 5,000 12-bore shotgun, and 1,000 Galil assault rifles of Israeli design for special units (SWAT, CIMO...)

Severe Accident in Fond-des-Nègres

On Tuesday, an accident occurred in Fond-des-Nègres, a truck from Jérémie hit a car, causing two casualties and 15 wounded who were taken to the Health Centre of Armée du Salut.

$30 million for the hospital La Providence of Gonaïves

By investing about $30 million for the construction, the equipment and the implementation of a program to support the management of La Providence Hospital in Gonaives, Canada’s contribution aims to replace the emergency hospital currently located in temporary facilities since the flood of 2008. This project is one of the largest Canadian investments in Haiti over the past decade and is a good example of the close cooperation between our two countries.

Anthony Phelps recipient of an international poetry prize

Quebec poet, of Haitian origin, Anthony Phelps (born in Port-au-Prince, August 25, 1928) is the recipient of the International Poetry Prize "Gatien Lapointe / Jaime Sabine" for his work "Femme Amérique" He will its price at the sixteenth meeting of the poets of the Latin world, to be held in Mexico from 23 to 30 October.
