iciHaiti - Social : Nearly 60,000 Haitians repatriated to Haiti

According to the Commander General of the Dominican Army, José A. Matos from January 2015 to mid-June about 60,000 Haitians have been intercepted as part of "Operation Shield" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13067-haiti-security-operation-shield-more-than-22-000-troops-along-the-dominican-border.html after attempting to enter illegally in Dominican territory, then handed over to immigration authorities which is responsible for their repatriation in Haiti.
In addition the military chief revealed that many Haitians with all their belongings, began to return voluntarily in Haiti, discouraged, some for several months to obtain before June 17, the end of the National Plan of Regularization of Foreigners, their identification documents with the Embassy of Haïti in the Dominican Republic.
