Sunday morning, the gang leader "Tekielo" was shot dead in Cité-Soleil after a shootout with agents of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), which were supported in this operation by peacekeepers of the Minustah, confirmed the chief Inspector Gary Desrosiers, Deputy Spokesman of the PNH.

In retaliation, the supporters of "Tekielo", with "Ti Ougan" a gang leader of "Boston", opened fire on the sub police station of Cité-Soleil. Many bullet holes could be found on the walls of the sub police station as well as on vehicles.

The departmental unit of law enforcement (UDMO), Team SWAT accompanied by the Minustah patrolled the area, where peace reigned again in the early afternoon.
