The organization Plan International Haiti proceeded to the graduation of 41 matrons came of communal sections of Pays-Pourri and Maroseau located in Ganthier.

These traditional birth attendants were trained by health workers from the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) to contribute to the reduction of maternal mortality in this region difficult to access of 16,000 inhabitants, without basic social services.
