Despite major obstacles, DINEPA has made substantial progress in the coordination of drinking water and sanitation activities including the establishment of regional offices in 4 major regions, the creation of 10 rural departmental units and the establishment of a training program for technicians in water and sanitation. Recall that in 2008, only 52% of Haitians had access to clean water. In 2014, through the leadership of DINEPA, this figure rose to 62%. IH/ iciHaiti
