iciHaiti - Justice : The TPI of Port-au-Prince is working hard...
The fight against preventive detention in Port-au-Prince can not be conducted efficiently, said Me Bernard St Vil, Dean of the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Port-au-Prince which deplores that the TPI must operate with only 7 investigating judges on 24. In cause, the expiry of mandate of 14 magistrates for several months and the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) which recently sanctioned 3 other judges. He appealed to CSPJ, to act diligently and renewed the judges whose term has expired. TB/ iciHaiti
