Wilson Laleau, the Minister of Economy and Finance revealed this week that in the 2015-2016 budget the cost of passports goes from 1,600 to 3,000 Gourds Gourdes (nearly 200% increase) and the driving license from 1,000 to 3,000 gourdes (300% increase)
For Minister Laleau, it is not a tax increase, but a necessary tariff adjustment on services whose costs have not varied for 10 years.
