iciHaiti - FLASH : Police officers targets of criminals

Friday evening, in Croix-des-Missions, 3 gunmen traveling on a motorcycle opened fire on a police patrol which returned fire. During the shooting, one of the attackers was reportedly killed.
Thursday, November 12, near the headquarters of the Motorised Brigade of Intervention (BIM) in Clercine, Jeune Moise André, an IV agent assigned to the Directorate of Traffic and Road Police (DCPR) who was accompanied by his wife was killed by several bullets. His wife was also injured. An investigation is underway to determine the reasons for this deadly assault and try to identify the perpetrators.
Prior to these two recent tragedies, 19 police officers have been killed in service and 5 others wounded since the start of 2015, according to Principal Inspector, Garry Desrosiers, Deputy Spokesman of the National Police of Haiti.
