Friday in exploratory visit in Aquin [Southern port city of Haiti] until December 20, David Smith, the former mayor of Delray Beach and President of sister city, at the head of a delegation composed of Todd Leherrou, Representative of the Chamber of Commerce of Delray Beach, of ajor Georges Bernadel, Ms. Jyreeta Dhlochand nurse of medical insurance and Lawanda McCoy, Educator in Delray Beach, met the acting Mayor, Vilner Alindor to express him the gratitude for accepting the twinning of the city of Aquin with that of Delray Beach.

Vilner Alindor said he was proud to welcome the delegation members and thanked them for choosing his commune to make this pairing. The acting Mayor of Aquin received from the hands of David Smith, a batch of documents on the history of the American city. Mr. Smith took the opportunity to invite the Interim Agent to visit his city and discover its beauties.

During its stay the delegation will meet, among others, businessmen and women and community leaders to exchange and sharing of experiences and opportunities between the two cities.

Recall that the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) played a role of intermediary between Aquin and Deleray Beach in achieving this twinning project.
