The Embassy of Haiti in Canada informs that the Honourable Mauril Bélanger, Liberal deputy of Ottawa-Vanier will be decorated by the Republic of Haiti of the National Grand Cross Order "Honor and Merit" silver plate.

The ceremony will take place Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2pm, to the Parliament of Canada in the presence of his family and his parliamentary colleagues, some government officials and members of the Haitian community close to the parliamentarian.

By this distinction the Haitian Government wishes to express its profound gratitude to the citizen and parliamentarian Mauril Bélanger, for his great solidarity with the Haitian community in Canada and his great friendship with the Republic of Haiti for twenty years.
