A Haitian woman, Cicilia Laurent, born January 31, 1896, according to his Haitian passport and a copy of an extract of birth, celebrated her 120th anniversary at the Consulate of Haiti in Montreal, with a big cake. Smiling in her wheelchair, her eyes filled with emotion before so many honors, she was surrounded by fifty members of her family and the Haitian community.

According to Ronald Chery his great-grand-son, a Guinness record team is currently in Haiti. They try to find the original of the birth certificate which is far from simple... If they succeed, Cicilia Laurent could be proclaimed dean of mankind. A title currently held by the American Susannah Mushatt Jones, aged 116 years.
