iciHaiti - Society : 11 Haitian women exemplary

Tuesday, March 8, Elisabeth Beton Delègue, Ambassador of France accredited to Haiti, organized a luncheon at the Residence of France to celebrate International Women's Day. Eleven Haitian women personalities with an exemplary path, attending the luncheon were in the spotlight. They are : Rose-Berthe Augustin, lawyer ; Myrthel G. Guillaume, climate change specialist ; Taïsha Hong, student in terminale S at Lycée Alexandre Dumas ; Yanick Lahens, writer ; Nathalie Brisson Lamaute, economist ; Marie-Laurence Lassegue, director of IDEA ; Tessa Mars, artist ; Alexandra Vanessa Destin Pierre, architect engineer ; Marlene Sam, Deputy Director of ESIH ; Pascale Théard, artist and Miss Mélissa Willy N. Pierre, student in terminale at lycée Cats Pressoir.
Paying tribute to all Haitian women, especially those who are still struggling for their emancipation, the French diplomat reaffirmed the commitment and determination of France to act in favor of gender equality and promotion of the right of women.
