"Regulation functions require a lot of effort and energy from us because the challenges ahead are great. Besides the real framework we must continue the transition activities from analogue television to digital television by defining a strategic plan involving all stakeholders in the audiovisual industry. The degradation of the Haitian media landscape deserves attention. We are in an era where cyberspace is constantly threatened, the Conatel will work with other state institutions, private sector and civil society to define a national strategy to secure our critical infrastructures in order to ensure the confidence of stakeholders in their use.

I intend quickly work with all operators to improve the quality of service that consumers are rightfully entitled, from telephony to Internet and also to make the cost of these services more affordable for households and small businesses, the engine of growth. [...]" dixit to the new Director General of the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) Jean Marie Altema.
