iciHaiti - Tourism : Regional seminar Inter-University on tourism trainings
This Tuesday as part of Regional seminar Inter-University on tourism trainings (11 to 14 July), will be held at Quisqueya University the presentation of heads of tourism companies and young entrepreneurs who will explain the success factors that helped them and the obstacles they faced in establishing their business in the tourism sector.

This presentation will involve entrepreneurs: Pierre Chauvet of the Tourism Association of Haiti (ATH), Jean Max Beauchamp of "Découvrir Haïti", James Legénis of "Passions Tours" and Aleck Dejean of "Promotour Haïti".

This seminar is part of the project "Universities, key link in the capacity building of tourism actors in Haiti," led by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and co-financed with the Ministry of International Relations and Francophonie of Quebec. It will be the first working meeting that will bring together all project partners : AUF, the Ministry of Tourism in Haiti, the University of Quebec in Montreal, the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec, the University of State of Haiti, Quisqueya University (Haiti), the Public University of the North in Cap-Haitien, the "Universidad de La Habana" (Cuba) and the "Universidad Tecnologica de Cancun" (Mexico).

This project consists in creating a community of learning and advanced education in the field of tourism, in the Americas and the Caribbean. It aims to improve the quality of training programs and their consistency with the job market and also the integration in the training program of a digital tool to accompany tourism students in the assembly of their business (online specialized platform : GéoTourism Explorer).
