iciHaiti - Culture : 2nd edition of the caravan of art 26/07/2016 10:11:45
"Promoting an alternative form of education in the arts in Haiti" is the theme of the 2nd edition of the caravan of art this year taking place from 22 July to 26 August 2016, this caravan is a socio-cultural activity designed to train, develop and mentor young Haitian talents, to promote the Haitian culture, but also to combat the phenomenon of acculturation. Several activities were organized as part of the launch, on the one hand, there was a cultural part in which some devoted themselves to traditional games such as card games, marbles, dominoes, others preferred to play hopscotch or jump rope. Not to mention those who made caricatured in the anon park or taking advantage of the exhibition of handicrafts. Performances by several young artists were well received by the public and ensured the atmosphere. Note that the caravan will visit several cities including Port-au-Prince, Petit-Goâve, Jérémie, Plaisance, etc... the program is varied : exhibitions, traditional songs and games, poems, tales, caricatures, portraits, musical composition, painting workshops on canvas, scenic reading, text editing, embroidery, dancing.
