Monday to the Caricoca Arena 2 on the mat 2, judoka Josué Deprez (ranked 290th in the world rankings) as part of the eliminatory of 1/16 final fought against the German Igor Wandtke (ranked 16th), after a fight of 5:00, the Haitian athlete lost on Shido (Illegal-Joint-Lock) to the 3:18. Josué Deprez is out of the competition ranked 17th of this eliminatory.

In weightlifting 62kg men at Riocentro Pavilion 2, the Haitian Edouard Joseph, did not finish the competition and was eliminated. In the snatch on his first attempt he managed 102kg, followed by 107 kg and he failed his third to 112kg, for a score of 107. He has not participated in the clean and jerk. Note that the best classification of the competition this morning was attributed to Vaipava Nevo Ioane, from Samoa with a total score of 281 (120 in the snatch and 161 in clean and jerk).

Next competition Wednesday with the boxing 64kg lightweight where Richardson Hitchins will face the American Gary Russell.
