iciHaiti - Diaspora : The Embassy of Haiti in Canada supports the Haitian Development Initiative
Saturday in Toronto, in the presence of a large audience composed of Franco-Ontarian of Haitian origin, Canadian citizens of origin of the Caribbean and of Canadian-born, the Embassy of Haiti in Canada, participated in the Conference Luncheon of the organization Haitian Development Initiative (HDI), a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) that works to promote investment and development of Haiti.

Ambassador Frantz Liautaud, prevented, was represented by the Minister Counselor Géralde Alert Carré. Several speakers were invited to speak include two officers of the HDI: Pierre Charleus and Michael White, the deputy of the city of Ajax-Pickering (Toronto area): Joe Dickson and the Honorary Consul of Haiti in Toronto, Dr. Eric Pierre.

Mrs. Géralde Alert Carré, speaking on behalf of Ambassador Liautaud, thanked the sponsors for their invitation. She took the opportunity to point out that the Embassy of Haiti and his Chief, willingly applaud this great initiative as it aims to promote investment through projects promoting effective and positive synergies between the skills of the diaspora with those of our country. The initiative also includes the search for foreign partners both in Canada and USA.
