iciHaiti - Social : Protection of LGBTI against violence

Friday, the sections Reduction of Community Violence (RCV) and Human Rights of the Minustah in collaboration with their partner, the SEROvie Foundation, launched the REFUGE project for the Protection of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) of Haiti.
This initiative aims to create an atmosphere conducive to the protection and fulfillment of LGBTI in Haiti. In this perspective the various activities proposed in this project will contribute to strengthening the mechanism for collecting, monitoring of cases of violence related to sexual orientation, mobilize and sensitize members of the communities targeted against violence towards the LGBT and implement a multi-sectoral structure arousing the commitment of political actors and Haitian civil society in the protection of LGBTI citizens.
