Late Wednesday afternoon, during a press briefing at the National Emergency Operations Centre (COUN), Mrs. Alta Jean-Baptiste, the Director of the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) declared " [...] we are in a stage where we continue to collect information [...] the information begins to arrive on the department of Grand'Anse [after 18 hours without communication] later we will give more information on the situation of the Grand'Anse department.
