As part of the fight against pre-trial detention, Me Danton Léger, the head of the public prosecutor's office in Port-au-Prince announced on a radio station of the capital the release on Friday 18 November of 220 prisoners (120 from the National Penitentiary and 100 others from prisons in the constituency of Fort Dimanche)

This brings to more than 2,000 the number of prisoners released since the arrival of Danton Léger in charge of the Public Prosecutor's Office
